It’s back to the beach for custom cars, trucks and bikes

Back for its 22nd year, the Custom Car and Bike Show, hosted by the Centerport Fire Department’s Eagle Truck Company, is expected to showcase more than 200 vehicles and feature family-fun entertainment at Centerport Beach, on May 7.

It is a long-standing tradition for the fire department to hold this show, which is also a fundraiser for the men and women of the company, and invite everyone – car fans and families alike – to cruise down to the beach to get an eyeful of some of the most unique vehicles around.

With antique and custom-built cars, trucks, motorcycles and fire trucks, you’re sure to see something different than what’s often on the roads. There are three voting classes at this show, cars, fire trucks and motorcycles, with a “Captain’s Choice” award for Best in Show, in which each receive a trophy.

While marveling at the variety of cars and cycles, enjoy tunes from World Famous Sound, a local DJ, who will be providing music on-site. Attractions also include games, giveaways and entertainment for kids. A full menu of food, cooked to order by members of the company, and raffles are also offered.

So, rev your own engines and take a trip to Centerport Beach this weekend!
