New comic book convention comes to NYCB Live’s Cradle of Aviation Museum

If comics, collectibles and pop culture consume your life (in the best way possible), then Cradle-Con, with celebrities like Dan Harmon, co-creator of animated series “Rick and Morty,” is the place to be, June 23-24. The convention, created to raise funds for the museum’s Women in STEAM Education Programs, follows the adage, “for the fans, by the fans.”

Impressive Corvette display at Sunday’s Vettes and Jets at American Airpower Museum

Iconic examples of America’s automotive history are coming to the American Airpower Museum (AAM) in East Farmingdale for Vettes and Jets, where Corvettes will mix with Jets, on Oct. 1. The “Vettes” on display are the vehicles of members of the Long Island Corvette Owners Association (LICOA), who plan to meet up prior to the event to line up their cars and caravan to the museum.
