Eternal Con returns, bigger and better than ever

If you’re obsessed with comic books, films and pop culture, you can be sure your weekend will be jam-packed with fun at Eternal Con, the ultimate (I think) comic book and cosplay convention, which comes back to Long Island, July 1-2, at NYCB’s Nassau Coliseum.

This year’s line-up of celebrity guests doesn’t disappoint. Among the guest stars are Brianna Hildebrand, “Deadpool;” Lee Meriwether, “Batman” (1966), “Star Trek,” and “The Time Tunnel;” WWE and UFC Fighter C.M. Punk; and Maggie Geha, “Gotham,” who will all be available for autograph and picture sessions. LI natives Helen Slater, “Supergirl,” and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will also be available for photo ops.

You can also meet and greet some of your favorite comic book artists and writers, as well as commission them for art. Among them are Frank Tieri, Nik Virella, Ken Bald and Sean Chen.

Bring home souvenirs from your favorite fictional worlds, as there are more than 150 tables featuring toys, jewelry, clothing and collectibles at this year’s convention. And, check out the movie-prop displays and car show, where you can see the 1966 Batmobile in person.

If you are a crafty, hands-on fan, you might want to make your own costume and wear it, because a Cosplay Contest for handmade costumes from all genres –  film, TV, theater, comics, video games, sci-fi, anime, horror and more – will be judged for the best of the best.

With so much to do and see at Eternal Con this year, you just have to go and check it out yourself to see what all the buzz is about!
