Take a walk down a trail of t-t-t-terror

If the highlight of your Halloween season is to be thoroughly frightened, the Yaphank Trail of Terror will certainly creep you out – just like you would want it to. Held on the grounds of the Yaphank Presbyterian Church, it opens Oct. 7 and stays open for Friday and Saturday nights until Oct. 29.

Shrouded in darkness, you can trek along the half-mile trail through the woods for 15 minutes to find what lurks within, with creepy scenes playing out before you throughout the walk. Gates open at 7 p.m. Are you scared yet?

Now, if you’re like me – the one who stumbles through haunted mazes with eyes covered the entire time – check out the other attractions for those too scared to take a walk on the terror-filled trail, like the Bounce ‘n’ Fun, an inflatable human-hamster ball track. There’s also a bonfire and concession stand.

New for the year is the outdoor movie-theater. Every night, a different Halloween-themed movie will be screened at 8 p.m.

So, take your pick to be scared or not to be scared – attractions here abound for all types! And if you go, have f-f-f-fun, readers!
