Author Flanagan Brosky shares ghostly encounters of the LI kind

If you have often wondered whether some of the island’s landmarks have eerie stories to tell, Kerriann Flanagan Brosky, author of “Historic Haunts of Long Island,” will keep you spellbound recounting some of her unnatural experiences, as her book explores haunts on a local scale.  And, Flanagan Brosky, who is an award-winning author and historian, is scheduled to discuss and sign this book on Oct. 15, from 7-8:30 p.m., at Malverne Historical Society.

Through research, interviews and investigations, Flanagan Brosky, alongside medium and paranormal investigator Joe Giaquinto, uncover Long Island’s history – from ghosts lurking at the Execution Rocks Lighthouse to the Cutchogue Village Green. You never know, one of your favorite hot-spots can have a spooky history.

At the Malverne event, Giaquinto will also be playing EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon) from the new book, as well as EVPs from two of Flanagan Brosky’s books, “Ghosts of Long Island” and “Ghosts of Long Island II.”

Flanagan Brosky is also scheduled for lectures and book signings, locally, throughout the October, including at Copiague Memorial Library, 50 Deauville Blvd., on Oct. 18, from 7-8 p.m.; and Connetquot Public Library, 760 Ocean Ave (with Giaquinto), on Oct. 20, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Her book, “Historic Haunts of Long Island,” is currently available at Book Revue in Huntington and the St. James General Store, as well as other local, specialty shops and book stores. It is also available online at Amazon. The two other “Ghosts of Long Island” books are now out of print and only available in e-format.

“There’s so much paranormal activity on Long Island, and I have experienced many things,” said Flanagan Brosky, whose words only entice you to want to hear more.

So, for a glimpse into Long Island “unearthly” history, this is one author that has the stories you will want to hear.

And if you go, have fun, readers!
