Reptiles, amphibians and arachnids (oh my!) to see

If your idea of a pet involves scales rather than fur, then you might find the Reptile Expo is an event not to be missed. Clear your Sunday schedule, because it’s coming to Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, on March 26.

You may be taking home a new friend this weekend, as dozens of reptile breeders will have reptiles, amphibians and arachnids on display and for sale as pets. Some of the creatures you can expect to see include snakes, geckos and frogs.

Also, you can shop for items you may need, as there will be more than 150 vendors selling cages, terrarium supplies, frozen-feeder rodents (sounds gross, but your reptile will appreciate you for it) and many other reptile-related items.

So, stop in and prepare to be amazed by these slithering, short-legged or eight-legged – and cute or not-so cute – creatures!
